Happy Valentine’s Day!

I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. Fortunately, neither does my girlfriend. But seeing hearts everywhere on this day makes me think about blood, and that leads me to think about the blood shortage the Red Cross is currently experiencing. Every VD, I try to donate blood. (I donate regularly, I'm type O-, a universal donor so my blood is always in high demand.) If you haven't donated blood before, or if it's been a long time, please consider it. It doesn't take all that long, you get free cookies when it's over, and you're literally saving a life. To make it even cooler, if you use the Red Cross app on your phone, you'll get a notification that tells you where your blood went and how it saved a life. I have literally saved an infant's life with my blood and I know this for a fact. Yes, a needle in the arm doesn't feel great, but isn't that worth it? Did I mention cookies?
