The 203 Worst (& Safest) Countries for LGBTQ+ Travel in 2023

Over the years Asher & Lyric’s LGBTQ+ Travel Safety Index have maintained the “definitive” list of countries and their safety for Queer travelers. It’s a well-researched list, but it’s not searchable! So here, I’ve reproduced that list as a searchable spreadsheet. Keep in mind, as Asher and Lyric state, this list doesn’t tell the whole story. Many cities are safe and welcoming to LGBTQ+ visitors, even in countries that are hostile. Travelers in all countries are advised to use common sense to stay safe when in unknown places.
